My First Day in Orlando
Well I'm finally here in Orlando after months of anticipation. Kyle, Chris, and I left Orange Park around 8:30 or so and arrived in Orlando around 11. Thank God my apartment is fully furnished because it only took us about 20-30 minutes to get everything up here. We drove around for a while after that until we found an Applebees where we ate and talked about the good ol' days, I'll miss gettin to see those guys all the time. They had to leave around 1 because Kyle had to be back for work. After that I got most of my stuff unpacked only to find out I forgot my cable and ethernet cords. So I drove around for like 45 minutes until I found a radioshack and at the time my phone wasnt working so I couldnt call anyone and find out where one was. After I got back to the apartment and got everything hooked up I took a nap for a while because I was tired. When I woke up one of my roommates was home, his name's George and he seemed like a cool guy. He was going over to his girlfriend's place so it looked like I was gonna have to find somethin to do on my own for the night. Luckily my friend Tim goes to school in Orlando at Full Sail so I called him up, we got some Wendys to eat, and then we played some videogames. After that I headed back to the apartment only to find that the lock on my door was broken, I had no idea what to do. So after I got ahold of maintenance the maintenance guy got a ladder and went into my apartment through the balcony to open it up. After he changed the lock I went back to my room and talked to some friends on the computer from home. I finally heard from Erin's friend Cheryl who coincidently lives in the apartment complex right next door to me, she seemed like a nice girl and hopefully she can show me around town because I have no clue where anything is. Thats about all that happened today but it was a pretty crazy day with the lock and all. Ben Owens signing out.
