I can still feel the butterflies in my stomach as I entered the ring for my first match. I still couldn't believe I had actually entered the world martial arts tournament. I entered the ring and stretched out my hand to my challenger. "Ah...Konichiwa," I choked out. My challenger, Raditz, swatted away my hand and replied, "Come on now. I don't have all day to waste on small fry like you." I blushed and readied myself in a fighting stance for the upcoming battle.
Before I even heard the ref start the match, Raditz came at me full speed with a lunging backhand. I quickly raised my hands to my face to block some of the impact, but was still knocked back and almost out of the ring. As I saw him rush toward me again, I was prepared to meet his attack. Raditz threw a fast front kick straight at my face. Ducking just in time to feel the graze of his kick, I rise back up with an uppercut to his gut and follow it with a hook to his chin. This threw him back to the other end of the ring, but he quickly recovered.
He grinned and replied, "Maybe you have some skill after all. I might just have to take this serious." Feeling the adrenalin pumping through my veins, I didn't falter at his comment. Seeing that his words had no effect, Raditz jumped to the side and then rushed with a roundhouse knee. Bringing my arms to the side, I blocked the incoming attack and returned with a roundhouse of my own to his head. He blocked this attack with ease. We both began to block and counter with intensity, no one really having an advantage, until Raditz landed a knee straight in my stomach.
I could feel all the air leave my lungs and my body fell to its knees on its own. Raditz grabbed me by the hair and brought my head up to his face. "Maybe I was wrong. It seems you have no fight at all." I could feel myself swell with anger and I yelled, "Don't touch the hair!" With the last word uttered, I grabbed his head with both hands and brought it to my forehead for a devastating headbutt that landed right on his nose.
Raditz staggered back and began to shake his head trying to regain his barrings. He looked up just in time to see me throw a spinning roundhouse to his head. The impact sent him flying out of the ring almost taking out the officials.
Before I knew what happened, the official was shouting, "Ubuu is the winner with a stunning knock out on Raditz!!!" I blushed and bowed out to Raditz who still remained motionless out side the ring and hurried out of the eyes of the crowd.
