CPO is the ultimate procrastination zone. I seriously get nothing done here. Okay, well, it doesn't help that I'm not entirely prepared to do anything...I didn't bring homework. But, i DID make a new To Do list, so that counts, right? Right.
Pretty good weekend :) Friday Ralph and I had a karmic yoga party and watched the 5 hour Pride & Prejudice and made crepes, which were AH-mazing. Seriously...they were so freakin good, especially the dessert ones with the nutella and peanut butter spread over it. Yum-o. It was a lot of fun hanging with Ralph, as always :)
Saturday was good...went to the Great Lakes Invitational with C and her parents to cheer on her brother. There were some sweet performances - one band did Evanescence. How cool is that? I got a ton of great pix and even though I was frozen, I had a lot of fun. After that was over, we went to dinner and then went to Borders. I got Ralph's b-day present and yea...I also got myself some presents. =P
Sunday was a lazy day, and then the A Fine Frenzy/Brandi Carlile concert. It was AFREAKINMAZING. OMG. Like...I don't have words. C got the tickets for my birthday, so me, her, and Rachel went and it was awesome, minus Rach being sick. It was a standing venue and there were some really tall people around us, and that kinda sucked, and my back killed during the show, but it was so worth it. I really liked A Fine Frenzy...I'm definitely gonna have to check her music out and update my iPod...but Brandi. Okay, firstly, she's eight million times hotter in person. Secondly, she performs eight million times better in person. I was able to take a ton of really amazing pix and videos, which I'll probably upload onto facebook in the next couple of days. But she played some of my favorites: What Can I Say, Follow, Fall Apart Again, Turpentine, The Story (I think I died during this performance), Wasted, Happy, Cannonball, Have you Ever...<3 At one point she and the twins got off mic and unhooked themselves and played one of her new songs, which was amaaaaazing. She got all close to the audience and just sang and it was amazing. And when she came back out for her encore, she played 2 of her new songs, Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues, and Rufus Wainwright's Hallelulah (on the piano...amaaaaazing). Ooh, and at one point she also played some of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. It was fucking awesome. I LOVE BRANDI CARLILE!!!
So i'm still all excited about that, hehe. I didn't even mind so much about being up at 7 for class. And I'm rockin out the Brandi shirt I bought. :D Tis aweeeeesome.
