(no subject)
So um...yea. I make the *worst* coffee ever. I should seriously not be allowed to make coffee for other people, because I fear that I might make them very unhappy and I can't have that on my conscience all because of coffee. Instead I shall suffer through it and grimace and gag and hopefully get my caffeine boost anyway.
My birthday was pretty awesome, despite a few things here and there that made me a bit of a sad panda. There was a Career Services open house, which was awesome because yea...I may or may not need a little guidance for my future. Classes were good, I was done by 3:30 which is woo.
And then yay, to my complete surprise/delight, Margaret surprised me by coming to stay in Albion for a few days. I haven't seen her in a year so to hang out and finally get to catch up with her was awesome. Sarah and Ralph were in on it and totally kept the secret, despite their not-so-super secret keeping skills. So we all hung out, took lots of pictures, and then met up with Sarah and went to dinner at Relli's. Afterwards, we hung out a bit more and they left for a few hours so that I could get my homework done, which I did.
Kristi, who said she was gonna take me out for dinner/drinks to celebrate my birthday, invited me over so she could give me a bottle of wine. Haha...when I got there Lance told me to do a shot of rum and I said I wouldn't do it unless Kristi did it with me. It was hilarious...I hate doing shots....it wasn't even a whole one, it was like half a shot. But we did it, and then she and I shared a bit of wine and hung out for a while. I <3 her. Oh, and Lance and I are of the same mindset that Halloween is the best scary movie ever made, so he earns like one coolness point for that.
So then Sarah, Amy, Margi, and Ralph all hung out and had wine and the cake the Sarah baked for me. It was so much fun just chillin and having a good time, minus the fact that half of us, myself included, were ridiculously burnt out and exhausted. We ended up taking a midnight walk on the quad. It was quick, since it was getting chilly and it was late, but it was a lot of fun. I just wish that C could have been there too. I was really bummed that she had to leae so early in the day and didn't get to spend time with us on my birthday. =\
It was a great day. I ended up going to bed a little down but alas, such is life.
Today is kicking my ass already though. I had to be up for 7 to go to my 8am lit class, and then I sat around for an hour only to come here to the library to work for two hours. I tried to get someone to cover my shift so I could take a freakin nap but to no avail. I'm a little sad about that. I ended up making the coffee to keep me awake but it's only left a bitter taste in my mouth and has upset my stomach. Woo. Then I've got Earth Resources (in which there will be a quiz that i have yet to study for...), another break, and then work at CPO till 5. I don't get a break because then I have to shower/get ready to go to Mongolian BBQ with everyone for Danielle Bday celebrations part 2 and then to Necto to dance our booties off. It will be a lot of fun, but I'm worried that I may be too exhausted to fully enjoy it once I've been there for a while. I dunno, we'll see.
I suppose I should do that studying thing and end this book of an entry.
