30 Days of Me meme - Day Eighteen
Day 18 - Whatever tickles your fancy
Today’s another topic-free day, so I looked to my twitter pals for some ideas of what to write about.
* My favorite thing I’ve ever created would have to be anything I’ve knitted. I learned to knit during my sophomore year in college and took to it really quickly. It’s really special to me to be able to create something beautiful out of one long piece of yarn. Even more, I love being able to knit things, like socks, out of yarn that I’ve dyed myself. Being able to make it almost my own for the sake of gifting to someone else is really cool to me. It’s always really heartwarming and special to know that people wear things that I’ve made them…to know that something means as much to them as it does to me.
* Dear dragonwine prompted this topic: If your current life could be symbolized by one film, tv show, musical, and book, what would they be and why? So hmm…let’s see. For a book I’d probably say The Hours because the characters speak to different parts of me. I feel a little Virginia sometimes, and a little Clarissa, and a little Laura. I’m sort of a conglomerate of them all. I always feel like I can relate to them. For a tv show, I’d say 30 Rock because I see a lot of myself in Liz Lemon. Though the situations are rather ridiculous at times, at the end of the day I’m still a neurotic girl in her cupcake pajamas, wondering if I’m going to be happy and if I’ve eaten too many Cheesy Blasters. For a film, Bridges of Madison County because, well, yea. And for a musical…Mamma Mia because I’m trying to figure out who my father is Rent because I’m a starving artist in New York Chicago because I murdered my husband and sister…I have no idea!
So I ask you: Which musical do YOU think symbolizes my life?
