The Great Quest
Today, my friends, I have completed a mission. Rejoice with me! Haha ;-)
So, I have been searching for a very specific book for a friend of mine. This book proved very elusive; after searching through every bookstore in the downtown Copenhagen area twice, I was beginning to give up any hope of ever locating it. However, a day's random wanderings brought me by another bookstore just outside the hustle and bustle of town--a gleaming beacon of light to bring me through the confused haze of commerce! I could tell this place was different--this could be The One! Unfortunately the day was Sunday and the shop was not open, but I vowed to return. Today dawned bright and sunny (though still below 40), so I made the trek back....and, lo and behold, there it was: "the book"!!! Of course I immediately grabbed it and, after verifying the title with the saleslady (haha), made my purchase! I felt a bit silly, but once I had bought it I couldn't stop grinning! It just feels so good to finally find something like that after you've been looking for so long :-)
And that was my exciting adventure of the day :-) Now I'm going to read about the Nazi occupation of Denmark during World War Two. Fun, fun.
