Not a bad film but not great, Ben Kingsley was excellent and Josh Peck's character has an endearing loserish quality but the film never really takes off, it's amusing in parts but doesn't feel as if it really knows what it's trying to say. A coming of age story that staggers to a conclusion, sometimes amusing along the way but not consistent enough.
Similar but not as good as "little Miss Sunshine"
