Reading about the race riots in Australia is a disturbing confirmation that those in France were not an anomaly. The only difference is that the neo-Nazis have gotten into it, and this situation, refreshingly, can't be looked at as merely 'Muslim' violence (not that violence is ever good). Here is an example of extremists being constructed on both sides in a self-perpetuating catch-22 of ever increasing violence.
Is there a way to deflect and control such negative energy? [If I were on the mat, I'd put them all in a fearsome wrist-lock.] In the real world, Aikido tactics are used as a template for conflict resolution - the idea of not escalating an explosive situation by meeting force with force - but moving beyond theory to praxis is a sticky point too often ignored.
