It Must Be Tuesday

Then there was Buffy followed by Angel.  Extra joy.

Next there was Buffy on one channel and Gilmore Girls on another.  [Angel began changing nights - treated like a two-bit gigolo forced to constantly work a different street corner.]

Then it was just Gilmore Girls.  [Buffy ended, but went out well.  Veronica Mars was also shopped around ( Read more... )

I'm with you. My TV viewing consists of about 2 to 4 hours a week, depending on whether one of my Showtime shows is on. Heroes did for me on Monday what Buffy did for you on Tuesday. I just hope season 2 doesn't suck when it start back in the Fall, or Monday will be my nemesis once again.

It's just funny - I thought about it and Tuesdays have been TV night for about 10 years! Wow - a quarter of my life. And this from the person who doesn't like TV.

But from everything you've told me, I'll try to figure out a way to see Heroes, and then I'll have one show to watch in Sept.

I don't think I've ever had a television series that I watched regularly since X-Files season six (I pooped out during 7). Fortunately, I have a number of friends from whom I can borrow the DVDs for any great series. That's how I managed to watch Buffy last year and Firefly the year before. Even though it totally stinks that Paula Abdul is the strongest woman character you'll find on TV nowadays, things like this tend to go in cycles, especially when producers see how well a series does on DVD. It's like Mr. Universe says- you can't stop the signal.

And dinner with Joss?? The only mildly sucky thing about this is that it means I probably won't run into him at a restaurant randomly during Comic-Con because he'll be supping with the winners at Dark Horse. I wonder how much you have to donate or how many times I have to announce that if anyone's having trouble getting a fifth person for their group that I will be delighted to help fill the table :D

I'm enjoying your optimism and firmly coming down on the side of DVDs of good things. And celisnebula has shared with me a way to finally see the new Doctor Who series, so all is not lost.

I'm so glad that you finally got to watch Buffy and Firefly then - both excellent (as was early X-Files).

Oh, dinner with Joss! I can only imagine how high those tickets are going to go in auction. He's just so wonderful to be giving his time for a charity. I'm sure you'll still be able to see him at ComicCon, even if it's at an event.
