I know it's not humongously surprising, but I'm still disappointed that Dollhouse has been canceled right when it was doing more interesting, arcy stories.

Blerg.

It went on Hiatus for the month, and they just announced yesterday that they're going to cancel. FOX has promised to play the remaining episodes though.

I suppose that's something. Still -- blerg, as you say.

So many hugely disappointing things in life these days are unsurprising ...

*sigh* I know, right... So unpleasantly unsurprising, and yet you couldn't help but hope.

I wonder whether there's a future to hope for still, but it seems unrealistic to expect any network to step up.

Seconding the Blerg. :/

I know what you mean. It actually pulls in cable numbers, but Syfy tweeted that they weren't interested, so I don't know.

After the absolutely wonderflonious fourth episode? Arrrgh...

I hope Joss will kick their a****s by the remaining eps. Which I am going to watch on Hulu if I will get the chance...

I wanted to swear off Fox, but then Bones is my love too...

Yep, it got better so it had to go! (laughs)

They say they'll air the remaining eps, so hopefully that means Hulu too.

Yeah, that Fox cut it from sweeps was pretty much them saying, "We've decided you're getting the axe and don't want something pesky like viewer interest to get in the way of that." Bastards. And isn't that Fox's favorite formula? Hire ambitious talent, balk at ambition, give them a lousy time slot, jerk with regular airing of episodes, and cancel when it doesn't do as well as American Idol.

The aired episodes this season were really good to fantastic. I rather perversely want them not to air the remaining episodes so that the huge DVD sales make some Fox executive get fired for canceling the show. But not really. Want PLOT, damnit! SPOILERY SPOILERS And Alpha! And Summer Glau to get her ass kicked! And Sierra to have more satisfying revenge and snoggins with Victor! And Alexis blowing the roof off something! And nude Victor! I mean, is all that really too much to ask? ;D

You're right, FOX really did jerk it around in a lot of ways.

The aired episodes this season were really good to fantastic.

I agree. Once Joss got full control they've all been at least decent going up to brilliant.

I really want them to air the rest of the episodes though so that the series is higher profile for the actors. And for the selfish reason that I want to see them as soon as possible! We're supposed to have the Summer Glau eps in Dec.

The tiny teaser shot we got of her made it look like she was some Rossum person sending someone to the attic. Killer!

Yes! She definitely looks evil, which will be fun to see.
