Writing
I'd like to think that by now I'd be able to start writing again, but ... not so much. There's a one-sided conversation in my head:
"Hi, Muse!" Waves. "Remember me? I didn't treat you that badly, did I? I tried to exercise you real regular-like. (See Firefly voice - we can do this.) Please come back."
Utter silence.
"Oh, muse. Here musey!" Looks around and stomps off. "Humph."
Really, I wrote an Adelle drabble and looked at it and went, "Grrrr. Argh." Oh, 100 words - how you can lead to tell. Even if it's a character's thinky thoughts, it's still tell.
On a better note, I completely forgot to say that I'm so happy that 'The Fabulous Ladies Night Club' is nominated at ultimate_xander.
Thanks so much to whomever nominated me - I'm honored and happy to see some love for this story, which was a blast to write.
Also, I wanted to say that I've joined Archive of Our Own with an author page here. I've only put up a couple of stories, but I'm helping to beta test the archive.
