A Creature of Extraordinary Grace
I've had no creativity lately. I still can't write, but ... I got the art thing to happen this week. I'd been wanting to do something Firefly for a while, and the prompt at still_grrr to do something for Serenity struck a cord.
So it's River in all her kick-ass glory [Click for bigger]:
The title, 'A Creature of Extraordinary Grace,' is what Doctor Mathias said of her at the beginning of the movie about her use as a weapon. Yet the original programmable girl broke conditioning here and fought because she wanted to. [I've been thinking River acted as a harbinger for Dollhouse.]
I'm so happy to have done something creative. And look - I do know what negative space is, really. (laughs) The original is 1280 x 800 and fits a 15.4 in widescreen.
