Today I was reminded once again of why I dislike most American media. Serious, life-threatening situations are occurring constanly all around the world. Issues we should care about. And what did MSN think was important enough to have posted twice on it's homepage this morning (once under 'videos' and once under 'news')? The story of a girl who's been hiccuping for three weeks.
Since when are diaphragmic spasms that important?
Why was there nothing new on the situation in Iraq? Why was there nothing at all on the genocide in Sudan? Why was there nothing on global warming and the 2008 version of the Kyoto Treaty?
I realize that MSN is not the New York Times, but shouldn't at least its small 'news' area be dedicated to actual news? (Especially since more people look at its homepage than read the Times.)
