oh god. Poor Faith! This is traumatic. But beautiful. You made me cry and really feel for her and her situation - all very real and way, way better than the comics-canon.

Plus you give me an extra happy for setting it in Cleveland. Yay! So happy my hometown has a hell mouth. :D

Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and found it moving! I was actually hoping to build up to her arc in the comics with this, but I suppose I did up the ante a bit on what she was asked to do.

Oh, man. I hope she finds some way out of that trap. You made this disturbingly plausible. You also made me feel intensely grieved for Faith, who isn't usually one of the characters I identify with to the point of pain. Impressive writing.

Thanks! It's lovely to hear you liked the story and that it made you feel for Faith (esp if you don't usually)! 'No Future for You,' her arc in the comics, does offer a glimmer of hope, and I may try to play with that someday.

Oh, man. Jayzus. That sucks so hard. Damn them all!
I adore Faith - i hate to think of her beating herself up so hard - hating herself and being pushed away from the only thing she has.

Damn Robin and the Watchers. That's just...lame.

Excellent story. Excellent.

Thanks! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed this! I really wanted to explore that unexplained shift from her having something okay with the Scoobies at the end of s7 to her having nothing again in s8.

Ah! Comic canon? I haven't read them... Leave Faith alone, Whedon! Sheesh!

:)

Leave Faith alone, Whedon! Sheesh!

(laughs) I know a lot of people aren't reading them, but I'm an old comics geek from way back, so ...

If it's any consolation, the end of her arc in them does have hope for something better.

Poor Faith, I hate Robin and the others for asking this of Faith.

Thanks! I'm so glad she came through as a sympathetic character here!

This is perfect and so painful. Poor Faith, unable to connect with anyone. Everyone else thinking they're doing the right thing for her when in reality they're completely isolating her.

Thanks! It's lovely to hear you enjoyed the fic! I just pictured this slow slide into being an outcast again that she had no idea how to stop (if it even could be). It's good to hear that came through.
