Very sweet. I love the fitting image of Jayne and River being described as a stomping monster and sprite. : )

Thanks! It's wonderful to hear you liked it! And the juxtaposition of the two.

I love this! I love the chinese--and the translations! I love the playfullness of River, and the typical response from Jayne. I love your resolution, because under all the bluster Jayne has a soft spot, a heart. I'm saving this to memories because I love it. THiS MuCh!

It's also good to see the Firefly Fanfic community pick up some here recently as well. It was kind of floundering for a while, glad to see an interest in it again.

I wrote a few different Firefly fics this year and forgot to let people know, so I'll be posting more. You're right that it's a shiney verse that deserves more love.

I love, love, love this! The voices and actions are so them. My eyes teared up a little at the end. Poor River, but she gets to borrow the hat! Such a sweet ficlet.

Thanks! It's wonderful to hear you liked it and thought this fit them!

Poor River, but she gets to borrow the hat!

And hopefully a little bit of residual mother's love goes a long way!
