I am not that far in the Buffyverse, so I had to do some searching to understand what was going on. This ficlet packs a powerful punch. It is clear that he is at war with his emotions, complex as they are.

Thanks! Yeah - you'd have to make it through season 5 for this to make sense (and I hope you aren't too spoiled on all of that - it's one of the best seasons).

Wow, that hurts. And it must be said that I am a fan of Dawn's. People are so harsh on her, but I have a little sister and they are as lovable as they are aggravating-- Dawn embodies that perfectly.

Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it! I like Dawn too but thought they had to occasionally wish for Buffy over her after 'The Gift.'
