This is gorgeous--I love the way you've written Simon, his analytical observations of River, and the way his compassion for his sister still comes through. Nice work. :D

Poor Simon and River :( You capture his helplessness and her unsettledness very well. I like the contrast between poor River's happiness and her absence.
