Unless there is overwhelming proof that they have killed and will continue to kill American citizens I oppose any attempt by our government to remove a secular dictator using military force. The result usually isn’t in the best interest of our national security or the people that inhabit that country. Please take a look at Libya and Iraq comparing how they are now to 13 years ago. Life isn’t better there at all. It’s the actual results, not the politics that matter.
Having said that the killings ISIS orchestrated in Istanbul, Paris, Brussels, San Bernadino and Orlando are enough. ISIS needs to be removed from power everywhere. I’m afraid it will take much more to convince voters that the threat is real and will continue until ISIS is gone.
