Last night we sat down and watched a DVD that my wife had purchased recently. A movie called, ” He’s just not that into you” .
While there were no startling revelations about human nature here we enjoyed the movie.
Things I liked about it
The cast ( Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Ginnifer Goodwin, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long to name a few.) in some great performances in terms of range a few of them portraying characters well out of the range we’ve become accustomed to seeing them play.
The movie was set in Baltimore, my home city and showed lots of neighborhoods & scenes that I’m familiar with.
It felt like watching a play rather then a movie and with short interrelated stories managed to accurately show several unrelated male character flaws. There were female flaws as well, but ever obsessive about self improvement I enjoy looking for traits that I may need to work on.
I’ll watch it again and may read the book now.
After the movie I was hit with a long period of baby induced insomnia so watched a Rescue Me and a classic movie on G4. A favorite B-movie from my childhood. Which one? Well here’s a hint.
Flash - a-ah - saviour of the universe
Flash - a-ah - he'll save everyone of us
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Flash - a-ah - he's a miracle
Flash - a-ah - king of the impossible
