Senior Citizens and Rush Limbaugh.
My mother brought up how badly Obama was doing in the polls recently. This caught me off guard. Concluding that Barak Obama would have to get caught making love to the corpse of a very ugly goat on international television to lose in November I tuned out the Presidential race months ago. So before I thought about it I asked what she meant.
” Well ever since he made that speech in Germany his numbers have been going down because he insulted so many people?”
Huh?
” It was almost identical to a speech Hitler made.”
Er. Ok.
” Rush is talking about how badly the Democrats are doing now. “
Click. Gottcha I piped in, ” Mom, its just Rush. He’s a pundit. While he can be entertaining he isn’t what anyone would call a remotely accurate source of information.”.
Typical of most years I can’t say I’m a fan of any candidate on my ballot this election cycle. That doesn’t mean I’ve dipped into the mushroom flavored Kool-Aid. Clearly, my mother and I aren’t on the same page.
