Kyle and I took the subway downtown and hung around Central Park for a few hours. Green space in the city is so refreshing-- it was really cool to scale the giant boulders that are strewn, helter-skelter throughout the park.

Afterwards we went to the Metropoliton Museum of Art. Very cool stuff- I took far too many pictures and the guards had to keep reminding me to TURN OFF MY FLASH (heh heh). By far the highlight of the museum was the original KLIMT painting which hung just outside the Contemporary Art Area.

Once we finished with the museum, we sat on the steps outside of it and tried to eat street pretzels. However, the NYC pigeons were so persistant that I finally gave up and started to hurl litle pieces of food at them. Almost imedietly, I found myself amidst a  crowd of 2 dozen pigeons, standing greedily at my feet and fighting over the torn up pretzel-it made me feel like some sort of Urban earth mother.

We ate lunch in the Trump Tower (no sign of the man with  red comb-over!!), then meandered through the fashion district until 4ish.
While waiting for the subway back uptown, a homeless guy came up to us and asked for money. After we politely said no and turned away, the guy grabbed my brother and spun him around. He started threatening us and kept jabbing his finger into Kyle's face. THankfully, the subway arrived at that moment and we hopped on before any further sketch bags deceided to descend upon us. That experience sort of shook me up, but all in all, it was a good day!
