Cairns has been a weekend of firsts.
First time snorkeling
First time diving
First time willingly going on a skyrail
First time rafting yesterday. Now that was loads of fun!! I want to do it again. I guess I had to make up for all the rest and relaxation I had up until now.
Today on Fitzroy Island was mostly spent reading lazily in the sun. I wasn't a huge fan of the place anyway to be honest. The waters were a bit to murky to properly snorkel and I wasn't able to see rocks or people until I was too close for comfort. The excessive wind all morning didn't help. Still, I totally deserve a lazy day every once in a while.
My god, I think this place has changed me. I've been laying on a beach doing nothing for a day except getting a tan. The horror! I may also be sporting some very sexy Columbia reef sandals at the moment and more Abercrombie than I care to admit (It was free, I didn't actually buy anything at A&F, I swear!!)
Now to pack and then treat my self to some croc, emu and other weird and wonderful new meats :)
