[Angua is looking a bit sleepy, a bit disheveled, and more than a bit annoyed.]

Well, I suppose I've found out what these "Barge comas" are all about, now. Has anything happened since the Admiral was reinstated?

[She glances down at something in her hand, then holds up a file.]

Other than this, anyway. Which of you is Jack Carter?

A big green lady attacked some people in the CES.

[that is all he knows.]

[Hoffman is mentally composing a report on the incident for Narvin. He was asked to do it. asked.]

Green female who could control plants. Her name's Ivy. Poison Ivy. She grabbed some men and some women and used them as meat shields. Friends are dead.

[twitch] Well death tolling but that's beside the point because that's par for the course. You say you coma'd?

[uberwaldian]

Oh, yes, but I think that was just an accident... Poison Ivy, really? My gods. [She makes sort of a face -- really, what is it with villains and tacky names?]

And, er, I'm sorry to hear about your friends, of course.

[expectremorse]

She's a-

[Hoffman stops short] It's hard to explain what she is but thank you. They came through for me.

[Hoffman needs to get up and get out of here and then go sit with Stildyne or at least say thanks or...He shakes his head and nods to her.]

...What's the last thing you remember before you fell asleep?

[uberwaldian]

Nothing much, really. It was a few days after we brought the Admiral back. At least I was already in my room at the time. [She decides not to mention that she was, in fact, in her basket and not her bed.]

[expectremorse]

[Hoffman would, raise an eyeball or two or six or ten. Baskets. This barge. What is all this.]

...Nothing's happened. We had an interference moment where the barge was picking up signals from across the fucking cosmos. [twitch]

[uberwaldian]

Oh, yes? Anybody from the Discworld? [She sort of wonders if Carrot tried to get in touch with her. Then she feels silly for wondering. Then she feels silly for feeling silly.]

...You didn't see a very large man with red hair, possibly identifying as a dwarf, did you?

[expectremorse]

[Hoffman just kind of stares for a moment. It's so incongruous-so odd.]

...I'm afraid not. But that could just be me. It's worth asking...around. Identifying as a dwarf?

[uberwaldian]

Yes-- well, he was adopted, it's all a little complicated.

[Her mouth twists wryly, but she seems to be thinking about something. After a second, though, she shakes it off and smiles.] Right. Okay, then. Maybe next time. Thanks.

[expectremorse]

...You uh-sure?

[uberwaldian]

Yes, it's all right. [She thinks. Maybe.] If he'd turned up, I think he'd have been sort of impossible to miss.

[expectremorse]

...Boyfriend?

[It's the first place his mind goes]

[She doesn't blush this time, because that was stupid and she's above that. But she looks a little embarrassed.] Er, yes. Sort of. No, I mean yes.

[Hoffman's only response was a knowing older brother look] ...Ah. One of those.
