it really only takes one sleepless night & stepping in cold puddles of widdle to wonder, "why ever did i think this was a good idea?"
ha!
anyway, his name is Ozone, Ozzie for short. we drove to regina last night to pick him up (6 hour trip), got home around 12:30am & then had the pleasure of introducing him to every other fur ball that lives here. actually, my animals are totally used to strays, so it wasn't really any big deal. he & indy played & played & played. smudge smacked him on the head a few times when he tried to eat her tail & emily still hasn't really been too close to him. logan loved him, which was no surprise; he loves ALL things that smell like puppy.
Ozzie is eight weeks old exactly & omg, i forgot that puppies taste EVERYTHING. i mean, we have plenty of TOYS, but he is really more interested in things like door jambs & the refrigerator. he slept all night in the cats crate (he's borrowing it until we switch him to logans) quietly & actually, he didn't even make a noise on the way home, come to think of it. we have always lucked out with animals who don't really cry their first night with us. i'm so glad.
also, he has peed several times on his puppy pad in the kitchen (on his own), pooped in the back yard & peed twice in the dog-run. only one cold puddle of urine on the floor & i had to be the one to step in it. oh well, it's really my fault he's here, it's only right.
okay, i've got to feed everyone, the human kids just got up.
