Got my schedule straightened out for the Spring. As it turns out, the problem course was one I didn't actually have to take. I didn't realize my marketing classes from HFCC counted towards my Journalism electives. So I only need one more of those, and having one already lined up for the fall...
So instead I took sociology and anthropology courses, along with a Japanese class. My task now is to find out when next the Gibraltar city council meets and tell the editor when I'll be starting. I have a suspicion that it's Monday, in which case I already have my work schedule made up for the library, so I may have to pass on that.
I actually wouldn't have tried to rejuggle my spring semester if I hadn't talked with the one prof yesterday about the internship. I pointed out that he's known my editor for years, and that the guy is very sympathetic to us schoolbound - he himself had gone to Wayne State - and so he was sure we could work something out come the fall. So, we'll see. In the meantime, I have work!
