A fool in search of wisdom....

So.

I've been in New York 16 days. I'm acclimating pretty quickly to the subway (natch) and discovering that parking here is something of an art form. That makes it sound to delicate and pleasant, what I really mean is that's it's more like a weekly Chinese fire drill

Spent a bit of time in central park, and the Natural History Museum just outside of it. Been to the local comic store, getting a feel for where the art store is and all that junk.

Funny that I don't have the urge to do the whole Statue of Liberty sight seeing thing. It would probably be fun, I'm just not a tourist. I want to see the city; not the sights, but what drives it. I'm living here after all and can do that sort of stuff anytime I suppose.

No bands looking for singers at present but it has been quite a short time. Drawing a lot on the trains, networking is interesting. Will have to do a bit more of it in the coming weeks.

I started this journey at the beginning of 2009, when I told myself I need to make a decisive change to shake up my life. After being here the short time, despite the quirks, I should have tried something like this much sooner.

My personal life is not changed overnight and is not even close to being my focus at present. Still haven't even got into my new place yet. So much new and worth looking forward to.

I had no idea how much I needed this.

Later,

Joe
