Art field trip of sorts...
So I brought up the subject a short while ago on Facebook of doing a trip to museums to spend quality time sketching and absorbing culture and whatnot. I know there are at least a couple of people interested, and i do hope others show. I'm not going to constrain anyone to a set schedule immediately, as they holidays are practically here. The window of time is essentially the second weekend of December (the 12th ans 13th). I spend enough time in downtown DC during the week as is. I figure sometime after Turkey day, and a good bit before Stackmas is the only way this will work.
Beyond coordinating the when, I don't pretend to have any plans. If someone wants to volunteer a place for everyone to hang out afterward that would be great. I have no problem with visitors, but I don't know how easy it would be for people to get here. No pressure to do anything per se, but we see each other so seldom these days I thought it a pleasant notion. As far as the event itself, I plan on doing a bunch of studies in multiple mediums and take a shit ton of pictures to reference. The Smithsonian museums seem the most central and most convenient to get to, so I would say to meet at the station.
Now all I need to know is who's interested?
