*scoff* What the human race doesn't know about the ocean...

Having just watched the complete Planet Earth series - there are plenty of very large, very diverse reefs that are only now coming to light - Indonesia as the example presented... So, no - not necessarily something we'd have noticed before. :P

That's a great series, huh?

Loved every minute of it when I watched it.

I'm just thinking that satellite imagery, being able to detect reefs as well as it is, would have been like "Hey, what's this reef-like structure down here near Brazil?"

"Oh that, that's just a coffee stain."

"Oh, my bad."
