Busy Little Bee busier than a busy bee humming
January is over in less than two weeks, this year is flying by already! Soon it will be CON SEASON again for me! And hopefully for the other artists I bump into at the cons - hello out there and I hope I get to see you all soon! And a huge hello to all the friends I've made at the cons too! :D Anyone going to London Anime Con in February? I'll be there with my friend and fellow artist Donna M Evans. We'll be selling our artwork there (prints, keyrings, bookmarks, hand-made fabric mochis, pillows) and taking drawing commissions. Come find us if you can! Looking forward to seeing the other artists and musicians like Masa-kun, Zonic, Megabyte and Area 11, good stuff!
In the mean time, I'm busier than a busy little bee busy humming! I'm making animations for my Godbrother, working on a plush doll commission of "Pharoah Atem" from "Yugioh" (the fabric for his skin has arrived, it feels and looks gorgeous! This plushie is going to be so cuddly!), making fabric mochis (I've been asked to make a Romano to send out to the US - you know who you are love, I'm on the job!), pillows, re-prints of prints (good god, HOW MANY?! Yes, that's how many - too many to count!) and some keyrings. And in the middle of all that, I'm making new drawings for prints too, like this one:
I also want to make a parody chibi picture of all the Hetalia Cardverse kingdoms (Hearts, Clubs, Spades and Diamonds) with poker terminolgy used as puns! It's like my brain is coming up with more ideas than my body can realise, I'd love to have some minions to do all the work for me! XD
I'm a fan of the BBC television series of Sherlock now. I'm loving the modern take on the Sherlock Holmes stories, especially that Watson has a blog! The camaraderie between Sherlock and Watson has me in stitches e.g. Sherlock is invited to Buckingham Palace, he goes there in a bed-sheet wrapped around him like a kimono. He's waiting on a seat in a room. Watson joins him a few minutes later. They are silent for about 20 - 30 seconds. Then Watson asks Sherlock: "Are you wearing anything under that?". Sherlock replies "No"! The last episode was gripping, but I do believe it's not the end, I heard series 3 will be out next year? Someone correct me if I'm wrong please! I'm tempted to do fan-art of this series, should I do it?
I've been seeing lots of articles and petitions to stop SOPA and PIPA, is the debate still going on? Are those bills going to go through? I've been too busy to notice and I live in the UK, nothing like that has been passed as law here to my knowledge!
