Been a while, hasn't it?
My g-d, school has kept me busy. This has been one hell of a quarter. Between classes, homework, research, Youth Leadership Evanston, working at Lou Malnati's, group projects, Hillel, IM basketball, Freshman 15 gigs and rehearsals, and endless meetings (not to mention getting sick with a gross mucus-y throat thing), updating the Journal has taken a way-backseat in the minivan that carts around my priorities.
Life's not all stress and work, though. I've gone on several fun dates since I've been back to school. Last weekend I went to Mee-Ow with Christina Calce, who I met while working on Sylvia last quarter. She designed lights while I worked sound and publicity. I always thought she was really nice and genuine and very energetic, and we had a blast. We went to a Chi Omega party this weekend with some people from ULP that I hadn't seen since last Spring, and, despite shitty non-danceable music, had fun again.
This weekend was full of beer.
Friday was White Trash Night in Mark's room at Delta Chi, complete with 40's, fried chicken, caps games, and the DVD of Friday. Saturday was a fridge full of skeezy Icehouse beer at Meredith's dance-party-that-failed-to-get-bumpin' due to lack of good music. And tonight was several delicious bottles of Honey Brown at 7A, watching the Super Bowl with all my Willardite homies.
Now that the fun's over, I need to buckle down and kick some homework's ass. Here we go, headfirst into another merciless week.
Oh, one more thing....my kid sister turns 18 this Wednesday! Thats CRAZY. I don't think I can cope. Any advice on dealing with younger sisters being all growed-up, please drop me a line.
There's your update. Happy, Emilie?
