You know what I love more than just about anything in the world? Rotting on hold to talk to a cable company customer service representative on Saturday morning. I cannot properly describe the joy of hearing their oh-so-informative recording about how to report cable theft and how they're "all-in-one" package can save everyone gazillions of dollars by giving them digital phone service, which they probably don't really need.
Since I'm currently entering minute number 18 of this lovely hold-rotting, I figured I'd come blog for a while until I actually get to talk to someone. This could be an interesting experiment.
Oooh! Not 20 minutes in, someone is picking up the phone! Huzzah!
Oh boy...now they told me that the reason I have a mysterious "partial month charge" of $5.00 on my bill is that the new per-extra-box fee is $2.50 per month, and we have 2 extra boxes. Why is this not included in our monthly charges like normal? God only knows. I asked, but was just told "that's what they did this month." Nice. I ♥ the cable company. Those bastards are the greatest.
