So what I thought was just a stomach ache from said frosting was not in fact food induced, but due to a heinous 24 hour flu I got around 1 am, Thursday night. So I spent St. Patrick's Day miserable in bed from fever and achiness and delirium. Kind of sucked major balls. But today I woke up fine. I got lunch at Studio which ruled because 1) I had nothing more yesterday than flat Coke and a handful of Cheerios and 2) I got to watch part of the Celtics game, who I am becoming a closet fan of, even though they've sucked the last 2 weeks. I'm also a fan of irate Scottish guys in the pub yelling things like "Chase em, ye fat bahstard!!" at the tv during the match. Hee hee. I LOVE SCOTLAND.
I was bummed that I had to get sick on St. Patrick's Day...while I'm in effing Scotland...but I'm okay with that. Cuz I drink way too much as it is here and did not really need to be in the pub at 2 in the afternoon. I have to learn to listen to my body more before I ruin it. Which is good to realize since it's so easy to get wrapped up in the social scene here and spend every night going out and drinking. And that sounds fabulous...except I have work...and my liver gets all worked up when I try to have too much fun...and as my mom pointed out, I'm not left with the best immune system after mono. Let's work on that in the future.
Anywho, I hope everyone had a Happy St. Patrick's Day and wore green and were Irish and all that jazz. I want to hear stories if you have them!
