You Don't Mess with the Zohan (my rating: 5/10); Entertaining to a Sandlerian degree. See it w/amistades.
The Happening (my rating: 3/10); Mark Wahlberg vs. plants? The scientific method vs. wind and neurotoxins?? Written, produced, AND directed by M. Night Shyamalan, again???! Appalling. And funny too! I will write a full review for this half-baked turkey in the near future.
Status:
I'm participating in a sleep deprivation study through the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Psychiatry. It begins tomorrow at 1:00 PM. I'll be isolated in HUP's chronobiology lab for 12 days and 11 nights. Ergo, I will not able to communicate to the outside world till the beginning of July. Furthermore, cell phones and PCs are not permitted in the lab. I might very well have to stay awake for 48+ hours. Caffeine consumption is a no-no. The pay: $1,575. Bring it.
NB:
I am allowed to write old-school letters to peeps from the lab. I'm armed with a notebook, a three-pack of Pilot Precise V5 pens, a box of envelopes, and several stamps. All I need are addresses. If you give me your address by like noon tomorrow, I'll write you a letter, if I still have enough stamps. I will reserve at least one stamp for my darling Michelle, but the rest are up for grabs.
Please:
Suggest movies and XBox games. The lab has a DVD player and an XBox and staff members will make runs to Blockbuster on the subjects' behalf. I have lists in the works, but your suggestions are invaluable. The book list is already finalized- think Murakami with a sprig of nonfiction for pizzazz.
