Is it really Sunday the 21st June, 2009?
Honestly? Really?
Am I really about to embark on the craziest summer adventure of my life? I'm amazed and stunned that all of a "sudden", the day of departure I've been working towards, dreaming of, holding onto so tightly is finally upon me. It's been the longest 8 months of my life and so jam packed with... LIFE! I was honestly starting to feel like this day was never really going to come and it was all a pipe dream. Like I've been on auto pilot, holding my breath and hoping that everything would work out without knowing if that rescue crew was actually coming to save me from impending doom.
How happy I am to pause for long enough today to have it hit me full on that it is in fact VERY real and happening and life as I know it will change drastically change once I step onto that plane bound for London tomorrow afternoon.
Gone will be the waiting and the pining and long distance managing with Tom and I. We enter the realm of shared time and physical space and have very little time to adjust to what that means before we buckle our seat belts and ride the crazy roller coaster of summer adventure and marriage.
I can't fucking wait. I can't fucking wait. I can't fucking wait.
Nearly there, a few things left to do, tomorrow should be mellow and smooth as long as I manage to keep myself from exploding into a huge gooey mess of anticipation.
Hullo Summer, it's been a helluva year to date and I for one am happy to see you and looking forward to sharing you with Tom.
Not to say it's always going to be easy or mellow. There is still so much to accomplish and get done, but at least I won't be doing it alone and will have Tom by my side while we figure it out together.
That's the best gift a girl could get.
london,
nowhere,
