a rather uneventful sunday...
Well hello again my loyal LJ readers...and hi to those not so loyal to reading my rants or at least those who don't comment and admit they read my ramblings :P
What to ramble about today...well I'm super excited to start work at the hotel with my BFFF(that stands for Best Fucking Friend Forever) haha. Feels like EON'S since I've seen her. This will be our 2nd time working in a hotel together...3rd time working together unless you include our volunteer work. I think I like working with her or something haha that or perhaps I's stalking her. Just waiting around for my background check, criminal record check, and credit history check to come back and hopefully I will start working soon. Hooray $$$! I need it really bad right now! Not to mention benefits would be really great!
My car has kicked the proverbial bucket...it all started with a little power steering leak that turned into a major one that turned into some horrible front axel squeal and then on Friday one of the tires went flat. -sigh- I don't know how I did it but I really must have done something to deserve karmatic revenge this week lol. I'm going to vacuum and clean the inside of my car out today though so when I can afford to get it repaired and back on the road it will be clean! :) I've still got car-cleaning-OCD even when I don't technically have wheels. lol
To add to my awful weekend I think I may have had some sort of stomach flu or food poisoning. I was nauseous, dizzy and vomiting with a ridiculous fever. It was pretty brutal...especially when my dear old Dad insisted I had to mow the lawn in the midst of the vomit assault, but I lived...the mow pattern I left behind wasn't as pretty or precise as he wanted but it wasn't my fault I was dizzy and couldn't walk in a perfectly straight line. So glad to say I have bounced back from that and am feeling 100% again! :)
I went to the Women's Show with Newman yesterday. It wasn't as good as it was 2 years ago. The radio announced that there would be mini-donuts but it was a big let down to find out there weren't. There weren't many vendors at all, maybe 15, and the ones that were there were disgustingly over-priced. I didn't buy anything, but I entered in all of the draws. Maybe I'll get lucky, there was a hotel get-away package and a 90 minute thai massage that I would love to win haha.
I'm still trying to get into the MineOps course at Keyano, they were supposed to be doing an October in-take session for January classes, but I've been informed they are now completely re-vamping the whole program so it is unclear when they will be doing in-take and unclear when the course will run again...seriously FML! I finally decide to go to school for something and then THIS happens. I'm not sure if this is part of Karma's doing or if perhaps I am just damned. Hopefully this week is just a little hiccup and things will be better for me next week.
