Giant Water Monkeys!!!!!

Aug 18, 2003 16:46

I like work. Especially today.

It started at normal enough. I was ordered to do something hard in a short amount of time. Of course I got it done in that time, but it didn't need to be done for another 3 hours. SNAFU.

After that I spent some time watering the dirt. I have to do that every now and then, because no one else wants to do it. And yes I said watering the dirt. It is a very important job to water the dirt, and I get paid well for doing it. I like work. After I watered the dirt I turned of the fire hydrant we had our hose attached to and went to the hardware store to pick up a few things that I didn't have to pay for. Now we get to the interesting part.

On the way back from the hardware store I noticed that my view of the building I was work at was obstructed by a giant funnel of water shooting about three stories into the air.. At first I was like "That is odd", then it dawned on me that the fire hydrant must have exploded and my mouth grew really dry, unlike everything else in the area. "I was the last person to use the hydrant.... crap." For a split second I considered not going back to work right away, but how often do you get to see a giant stream of water shooting into the air and flooding the area of Beteravia and Blosser? I just had to see this up close, even if my ears were going to bleed for a week from the tongue lashing I was about to receive.

Luckily when I got back to the job sight I noticed a van sitting in the middle of the side walk with the front slightly crumpled in. It was hard to see from afar because the majority of the water was landing straight on up of it. I was soooo relieved. I spent the next half hour giddily watching the water shoot into the air and the chaos it created on the street. It was like the wet Fourth of July.

So there is the simple post on the random amusing event that happened to me Deborah...

Later tonight :: Freddie vs. Jason. Jason better win or I'm out 5 bucks.

Later.
