great fun and all besides.
I've had a ridiculous shortage of posts due to past week dramas and an insane schedule. One would think, hey, update during the week!
So here I am, and despite a few bruises and scratches life is good. Instead of squeezing three weeks worth of events into one post i'll just mention last weekend, which was one of the best weekends ive had in months.
like the nerd i am i went to go see star wars at 10:30 with tyler and the boys. the effects were breathtaking. yoda was a badass as per usual, and looked as real as the little toddlers in the daycare. it had all the problems the last two movies had: awful emotional scenes, terrible, awful dialogue, and stale acting. but obi-wan was a sexy jedi, and that merited a second viewing of the movie on saturday night.
Friday, went to starbucks with the prom group minus connor and bunny and talked prom plans: Cafe Milano for dinner, as for the limo, beth??? as for after prom... I have the most ridiculously amazinginsanebeautifulwonderful plan ever. but i don't know if we can pull it off yet.
Then I jetted on over to connor's zombie movie premier, which was just fabulous with pool playing, twizzler eating, everyone harass maria/carolyn fun. it was mostly everyone harass carolyn fun, but still.

and the best part of the night, my best friend and a lovely girl have found each other. what more could i ask? keeping the "AWWW's" bursting to get out while they talked leaning on the bar facing each other next to the fridge (as well as wanting to move them because i needed to get the handbag that chris so merrily decided to place in there and grab myself cherry coke) was more than i could bear. it was all around great fun, and seeing my friends happy made me deliriously happy.

Saturday morning, woke up at noon, hauled butt to go out with laura so we could go prom dress shopping to much success. came back at six, got dressed to go to mamma mia! in my black bcbg dress and black platforms. That too was a blast. Yes i'm not afraid to admit it, i like 70's disco. bite me if you don't like it.
plus watching middle aged women stand up and shake themselves to the music like new-born hippies was too much fun. After that we ran around DC taking pictures, met a really nice Texan called Jason who took our picture at the capitol and then headed out to Georgetown at 12:20 to watch star wars. It was slower the second time. obi-wan is still a hottie.
Then we drove in my car with Pink Floyd's dark side of the moon up full blast-courtesy of sasha peters for giving me the cd last year-and encapsulated in the car, with the music breathing and pulsating all around us in its full pink floyd glory we drove til the morning.
we stopped at st. mark's, where i intended to thank god for all the blessings i've had, but the doors were shut! so i headed home, thanked him in the holy vicinity of my messy room and and after two hours of sleep, i got up and painted all of sunday. and my commission still isn't done.
