Windows update and Zonealarm
If you are unable to connect to websites with browsers, but are able to ping out, then you must have just updated your Windows installation with Microsoft's latest patches from 07/08/08. You will have to turn off your ZA firewall and wait for a patch/update from either MS or Zonelabs. This seems to affect both Vista and XP.
