Hey,

I HIGHLY recommend you visit a doctor, there are several you can reach on UBC campus and explain in detail to them any experiences of depression and anxiety you have felt throughout the year and how it's only getting worse because of the possibility of flunking out. They may or may not put you on medications (if you think that is an appropriate route to take, go for it, if not, LET THEM write the prescription you don't need to take the medication) and ask if they could write you a note. This way you have documented proof of from a medical professional as well as the counsellors and advisors at school. If it is deemed that you have a form of minor depression or anxiety it is the universities responsibility to accommodate those experiencing disability (disability resources at UBC is also something you should look into if your emotional well-being has been impacting your abilities in school), however, since from the sounds of it you haven't done this already, they may still be able to force you to withdraw because in theory, you could be making it all up to save face, it's hard to prove whether your emotional state was indeed that disabling after the fact etc. HOWEVER, moving forward it would be documented and they will help you in the ways they are required to by law annnnd, it will better your chances of them approving your appeal.

I hope this helps and best of luck in your future!
