Take Three Times Daily

I'm apparently not wasting away from consumption after all.

I do have blocked ear canals, fluid in places I shouldn't, inflamed sinuses and unusually thick eardrums.

I haven't seen an internist yet - no appointments available this year - so I don't know if there's something brooding evilly in my chest - but the ENT prescribed an antibiotic, that quote "should take care of what I know about and what I don't."

Gotta love that.

Brother P arrived Saturday night and promptly got online. He plays a game called Anarchy Online and pretty much falls asleep playing it and wakes up the morning/afternoon playing it. This could be annoying, except right now my energy levels are so low, that I'm glad he's keeping himself amused as I struggle to clean and prep for Thursday.

He did disconnect for awhile yesterday to go shopping with me. We pretty much got everything needed for the next 4 days. I am struggling with where to put everthing as my apartment is already overfull. I have an obsticle course of boxes and bags from the front door, through the kitchen, and into the living room. I'm thinking of giving stuff away as prizes for making it through without breaking a neck or leg.

This year's menu was especially hard as I needed to scale it down. My sister-in-law isn't very adventuresome when it comes to food and really doesn't like eating veggies at all. So besides a green salad, I'm only serving steamed green beans. No butternut squash soup, no stuffed acorn squash, no roasted yams, no bitter greens, and pretty plain stuffing. I am still using pomegranate for my turkey glaze and will put a bowl of craisons out for the salad.

I'm glad I said I wasn't going to Disney Land with them. That gives me another day to finish stuff up.

health, kitchen madness, family
