2+2=1.5

Monsier M finally gave us back our chapter 3 test last night. He refused last week as he claimed that all the tests were 'not good'.

I wasn't too worried. I had felt really good after taking the test and was confident that I had done well (relatively speaking - my idea of good and his idea of good don't necessarily coincide).

Due to all the work I've been putting into this class, my test scores have been rising with each test - so imagine my surprise when I got my test back and saw a 15.5 out of 32. Yikes!

First I added up his marks and saw that it was really 16.5 - not really any better.

Then he started going through the test, showing us how to get the right answers. Amazingly, I had done several of the problems right that he had marked wrong. By the end of the review, I actually had 26 out of 32 right - MUCH better than 15.5. When I brought this to his attention (along with several other students who's papers were also misgraded) he was rather grumpy about it. He took our papers from us and said he'd look them over and change our grades if warranted.

This class is going to give me a nervous breakdown. We only have 3 weeks (6 classes) and 3 chapters plus the final to get through.

Not 'nice nice' as Monsier M would say.
