Well, today is the last day of summer session II for me. All in all a very productive and instructive 5 weeks.
I am now certified for the next 3 years to give first aide and for the next year, I'm certified to give CPR.
My Humanities instructor, shook my hand, thanked me for taking her class and told me not to bother coming in to take the final on Friday - I have and 'A'. I sweated some bullets in that class as all the tests were essay and in class - I was convinced after each one that I had done a crappy job and was gonna fail - only to be presented with an 'A' on each one. I really am my own worse critic.
Speech 101 wasn't as bad as I expected - but still one of the most agonizing classes I've ever taken. I think I'm getting an 'A' - but if I biff the final today, could get a 'B'. The instructor is one of those people you meet as you go through the educational system, that you really want to stay in contact with. I'm not really good at staying in contact - but I sure am gonna try. We have many things in common so I hope that keeps us in touch.
This 5 week session was probably the first time since going back to school that I actually felt good about being here. In the course of 10 weeks, I managed to complete 5 classes for a total of 13 credits. My brain hurts from all the thinking I made it do and I think I have a permanent cramp in my writing hand - but I feel good.
So, a hopefully relaxing weekend of beach camping then back to the scholastic grindstone and hopefully full-time employment.
