Extreme Gardening

It seems to be the rule now that I'll be leaving the garden bruised, bleeding, and sore.

Fortunately for today, the bruising was minimum - which is nice as the MEGA bruise from last week still isn't faded.

And it was only a few drops of blood today unlike the over 15-minute-to-stop flow last week.

I am much much much more sore this time around. Shoveling dirt is right up there in my top 5 things I really really don't like to do - right after hand tilling dirt.

After about 4 hours of shoveling, tilling, bleeding - I began to wonder again why I do this.

Then, as I was packing up in frustration, I walked past the snow peas and saw a solitary pea pod hanging there that I had missed when I had harvested earlier. I picked it off and popped it into my mouth.

Now I remember why I do this.
