The last four days have been...close to the worst of my life. I shall begin at the beginning:
So, Monday morning I am suddenly awoken from my sleep at 2:33 by a super intense pain in my stomach. The next few seconds go by and then I began to be sick (trying to not to be too graphic). This is basically the state i was in until 8 am when I drag myself, still in pain and still being "sick" over to the wellness center to see the on campus doctor. He looks at me, feels around a little and tells me I have the stomach flu, i'll be fine in 24 hrs and that I should go home and rest...ok I think, stomach flu I guess could work. He also tells me that if I start to vomit blood I should go to the ER because that means I'm dehydrated. ok. So I go home and continue to die until 5 when Chuck comes over with some gatorade (I had been drinking it all day, but lets just say it wasn't staying in my stomach very long). So anyways Chuck comes and sees me and promptly decides that I need to go to the ER. I'm thinking, no b/c i'm not vomiting blood, right? So anyways we go. I get to the ER and the intake lady takes one look at me and calls for the nurse. The nurse hooks me up on the blood pressure/heart rate/ SaO2 monitor, which I immediately set all the alarms off on. The only value I could see was my heart rate: 143...not good. So they try to get an IV in to give me fluids which takes for-ever because I'm so dehydrated. So, there I am in the ER in tons of pain and super dehydrated-but not vomiting blood, excellent. I'm there for about 4 hrs while they pump 3 saline bags into me. At this time my heart rate is still 120, my potassium level is super low and they don't know why i'm having all this pain. So I get admitted to the hospital for the next 2 1/2 days. Things I learned: I do not like staying in the hospital at all, potassium iv's hurt like hell (if feels like someone is taking a knife and slicing the vein going up your arm), and drinking CT contrast when you haven't had anything in your stomach for 2 days is a horrible horrible idea. And after all that, they still don't know what caused it. My gallbladder was fine, my appendix wasn't abnormal...who knows.
Now I have to make up a crap load of stuff for school, and next week is finals week...i am so completely screwed....

(on a side note, jorge from the caf, who i haven't talked to in like, 3 yrs left me an im today that just said: bitch. I'm not sure where that came from or why. he was a weird kid though, so who knows)
