(no subject)
Getting back into the grove of things since the holidays have been so hard. Maybe it doesn't help that this is one of the busiest times of the year for us at work. Usually by the middle of February I am ready for a day off. Luckily we have next Monday off for Martin Luther Kind Day. Tony took the day off too.
My BIL's father is sick, very sick. He was told a couple of weeks ago that he had two weeks to two months to live. He has been in and out of the hospital and was just told he has only a few days to live. He has fluid in his lungs. My sister is having a tough time trying to manage everything. While my dad is apparently being an a-hole. Sometimes he is in his on little world and is selfish. My sister never cries and called me tonight. I wish there was more I could do for her. I started crying because I knew she was stressed and just needed to talk.
Tony's sister got a new car this past weekend. 08 Eclipse. She got into an accident on Christmas Eve and dented the passanger side of the car. She had a pretty bad oil leak and was apparntly filling her oil up everyday. That didn't bother her because she wanted to spend her money on other things like clothes. LOL!!! Oh what it is like to not have too many bills. I mean she is just out of college making some darn good money. I am proud of her and how she is adjusting to the working world.
I was suppose to go to KC this weekend but had to cancel because we got hockey tickets for the game on the 17th. We got pretty good seats so I am all ok with it.
We are onto cycle #4. No such luck last time. Ahh well!!!! The temping is going fine it is just the timing. Who would have thought that could be a potential problem. LOL!!! It is what it is.
So I am going to say that the job market really sucks right now. We had our quarterly conference call with our company today. We are not doing good. The executives are taking pay cuts and bonus cuts. They are cancelling donation matches. Most importantly, they are cutting their 401K match from 3 to 1%. So I am going to take my 2% and invest it elsewhere come next month. If they are not going to match then I am not going to put it in the stock market to see it disappear into nothing. Once we get enough saved I will throw it into something like a CD. I will ask my sister when that time comes.
I didn't make any new year resolutions this year. I always break them. It is usually about not trying to curse while driving or get mad so easily. I would have broken either one of those on the way to work this morning. I got cut off pretty close by two vans wanting to turn. Though it did make me happy that a car that likes to drive bat ass crazy got pulled over this morning. :)......
We got the wii fit on Friday and it is being shipped....woo-hoo...I have been searching for one since Christmas. Hopefullly it will be here by the end of the week. We shall see...It will be a nice break from the gym if I need it.
