101016 JYJ SHOWCASE IN SINGAPORE: FAN ACCOUNT
Hello friends!
I just went for the JYJ showcase in Singapore yesterday thanks to Melisa, boxxme, who bought me tickets (she's so awwsome you have no ideaa) anddd I know it's been like forever since I last posted anything since I really haven't had the time to write because of yunniversity so... I'll just share a short fan account to make up for the long absence ;D
The following events may not be in order, neither will they be a full account of the entire night. I’m only sharing the certain parts that I remember clearly, and I’m not sure how posting of fan accounts work but please credit this livejournal if you’re gonna take any of this information outside of here. I’m writing this only for fun, and because I feel bad that I haven’t written for ages, which means my engrish has probably deteriorated. Don’t expect anything else other than the essited blabbering of someone who’s just met half the love of my life (♥)
For starters, the showcase started an hour later than it was supposed to. The fans were extremely quiet until the lights went totally off and all we could see were the red lightsticks lol. I don't think I'll ever be able to describe the feeling of a first time at a tvxq showcase/concert. It's just something that you'll have to experience for once in a lifetime... At The Beginning when they popped out from the top of the stage, it was amazing, for lack of better words. They looked totally unreal even in real life, and all three of them wore really thick guy-liner (I do not approve of eyeliner but for JYJ and TVXQ it shall be the big exception) They probably need it to hide their exhaustion as well :’( Because our seats were close to the back, we had to watch them via the big screen, which wasn’t half as big as I thought it’d be :( And out of the three of them, i think Yoochun was the prettiest. He had his hair tied up in this ahjumma bun and his nose was damn straight and his teeth were damn straight - everything about him was straight except for his hair :/
They performed 'Empty' first, followed by 'Be The One', both in which all i could focus on was Jaejoong's dancing lol! Junsu's dance was powerful as well but he wore this sleeveless shirt that made his arms blend in with the background and it gave his moves less impact compared to Jaejoong's (from my pov, which was pretty far away) I know I ignored Yoochun’s dance-sense but everyone knows he has his own ~unique~ way of dancing, which is all I can say lol. Okay moving on. They also sang 'Ayyy girl' and the OST for Yoochun's scandal drama, the order I forgot. If you asked me, I'd say Jaejoong and Junsu's vocals were powerful but strained at some points. Yoochun's was the most stable. Needless to say, their voices were flawless. My hair stood up in waves the entire time. It's real. Their passion and their love for music. And every time I think back on how they'd sung with all their hearts, I just wish so badly for all of them to be happy doing what they enjoy doing without hurting, Changmin and Yunho included ofc~
Anyways, they also did an intro and interview session which was interesting because for the first time after learning Korean, I actually understood a little of what they were saying, other than Yoochun’s engrish. Junsu's greeting was the most formal. He said 'I am Xiah Junsu. Nice to meet you' in Korean and Jaejoong went 'Hi~ I'm JaeJae' in English. The crowd literally went wild (I swear they're all Jaejoong-biased lol jk) When it was Yoochun's turn he made a chun-face and said 'I'm Micky' in that greasy voice lmao! I had second-hand embarrassment rofl he pronounced 'Micky' as 'Mickaay' /goosebumps. But he was so cute ok. He spoke to all of us in English and he was the one doing most of the translating for Jaejoong, who sat in the middle. And every time the interviewer asked a question, Jaejoong and Yoochun would gesture at Junsu and make him give his answer first 8D Jaejoong said very little the whole time though. He seemed slightly 'off' to me in that subtle way but I guess I'll never know... He was prolly tired from all that traveling hmm.
As for the interview segment, there were a couple of questions bout the album and how they felt about it, and then it moved on to questions that were given by the fans. The one i remembered most clearly was when the interviewer asked them what their ideal type of girl was. Junsu laughed at first, and then he said that he liked outgoing girls, and if the feeling was right then she was the one. When it came to Jaejoong, he sighed twice in that exaggerated manner with his secretive/not-so-secret smile (if you're a yunjae fan you'll know what I mean) which made all the fans laugh. He paused awhile after that and said that he liked pretty hands and if the girl liked him then he'd also like her back -something along those lines. Junsu immediately shook his hand at Jaejoong's comment and the translator told us that Junsu said 'Jaejoong is a liar' ^^;; At that point me and mel were like wondering if someone in the front would scream Yunho's name. If that happened I’d bet a million bucks Jaejoong would giggle. And i mean GIGGLE >D (EDIT: OMG moonkissedx SAID THAT HER FRIEND SCREAMED YUNHO AND JAEJOONG GIGGLED!! CAN I HAVE MY MILLION BUCKS NAOO) Afterwards when it was Yoochun's turn I forgot to listen to him speak hahaha! I'm sorry chun fans don't judge me D:
Lastly, the MC cued for all of us to sing ‘Ayyy Girl’s’ chorus but we didn’t know the song well enough so it just sounded like we were humming. Junsu said 'very good' in English with a thumbs-up sign and Yoochun asked us ‘What kinda song is that?’. I won’t be surprised if somebody fainted at his accent. And then finally, they showed us this video in which Junsu said that he'd love to sing on stage forever. Jaejoong said that he wanted to sing with his members, and even though he knew that he couldn’t be a singer forever, he'd like to make a difference. Yoochun said something about having freedom and being happy where he was (it's not my fault that I can't remember his exact words because he always talks last and I get distracted too easily) If it's any consolation, I will never forget his final words before they left for backstage. All of them were thankful for our support and Yoochun told us to 'Always keep the faith'. Everyone in the hall went crazy cheering. He totally knows just what to say to get the fans going lol player And although this phrase seems pretty much over-used, I still believe in it; in them. So guys, if you ever find your faith wavering, you should fly to the nearest showcase and get that ticket to go hear Yoochun say it LIVE, IN HD!
As promised, this has been short, not-so-sweet and very choppy I know. I regret not having at least recorded the audio so I could transcribe everything I heard buh I'm sure there'll be plenty of other fan accounts with more details. If you have anything you wanna ask in particular, please go ahead and do so :) It might be easier to remember if someone asks me something specific, and if not I'll try my best to recall it~ Until next time, take care and always keep the faith, as Park Micky so politely put it 8D
