Getting in Touch: In the evenings, I am on IRC. Rikuou is my default nick and will always ping me, but I do sometimes swap around to other names for chan antics or because someone's usurping primary status for the evening. In any case, your best chance is to try and catch me with pings. I really don't expect anybody but me to keep track of all my characters, so just yell for whoever you want. Daytime and evenings, I am on gchat and receiving emails to himura . rikuou at gmail.
Timezone/Language: My time zone is EST but my hours are a little later than that. I. Really only speak English.
Scheduling Issues: Aha, the reason I am doing this! For the past.... year and a half? Sheesh- year and a half, I've been working part time -> now full time for a small office in the illustration business. My hours are 10am-6pm daily, with another hour on each end for travel.
The Playing Experience: Recently my boss has caved and bought me A WORK COMPUTER. This is great for me, it means that I no longer have to carry my (dinged-up, uninsured) personal laptop to and from work, or worry about anything happening to it. It's not so great for playing. I no longer have access to IRC, my files and notes, logs, or the widget. I still have downtime at work, and I will still be hanging around lj while in the office, but :/
10am-6/7pm, I will be working on threads very slowly. Sometimes I disappear because work has come up. I cannot really multitask! You may see me on gchat but not be getting anything from me thread-wise, and this is because I'm using my downtime to talk to people there. Without the widget, I also can't play multiple characters very quickly or easily. If you see a thread of mine progressing with Doumeki but you're getting nothing from Ahiru (for example), I promise you that it is not personal! I'm just logged into Doumeki's account and unable to switch out at the moment.
8/9pm-1/2am, I will probably be online at home (it's. what I do) and playing as many characters as I can, as fast as I can. No issues there!
Jumping: I love being jumped! I also love jumping people and have no confidence issues about it whatsoever XD: However, I often fail at keeping tabs on who is in what post. If you want to play with me but you don't see a character out/can't think of a way to jump my threads, please tell me and point out a thread of yours? I will be only to happy to jump on you.
Threading: Work stuff makes me a little slower than I used to be. I tend to continue threads over a day or two if my partner is willing. I also kind of NEVER LET THINGS GO until the other person drops. There are exceptions to this (especially if I start to feel like I'm asking too much of you, coming back to this thread AGAIN for no real reason :/) and again, it's not personal. Overall I play for the long haul. I really enjoy threads of all kinds, even the day-to-day ones, and will come back to them over and over. And over. Sorry about that.
Betaing: I will always beta for anybody, but don't tend to throw myself into the anon posts. Poking me is A++ though. If I beta your app, I typically will NOT vote on it. The exception is if I think you have a strong app and you are sitting RIGHT on the 70% line. I don't want you to get penalized because you asked for help, so in that case, I will vote in.
AUs: I'm... a little weird about sex AUs. I can write them (well, other than the fact that I, like everyone else in this group it seems, have some performance anxiety) but... I only enjoy them if I think they're feasible based on current in-camp relationships. I dunno, Anything else just feels OOC.
I've also written some what-if, plot-based AUs (mostly in fic form) and had fun with them, but I kind of have to be in the mood and really sold on the concept to do anything like that. I'm kind of fickle! But if you have an idea and you talk to me about it odds are I'll get caught up in the plotting.
Comfort Levels: I basically trust myself to gauge whether I want my character in a situation or not. If I put somebody in your post, you don't have to ask my permission to maim Rikuou/murder Dru/hit on Ah0ru/whatever. I don't really have any squicks or triggers. I like crack, and I like serious plotting. I like having people request my characters for things. If you think your character witnessed one of my threads, I suppose I'd prefer to know about it? I guess I wouldn't like being godmodded? Iiiii really can't think of anything to say here? The usual XD;
Concrit: I post to cfud_concrit almost every week, and if I don't it's just because I wasn't around and forgot. I would prefer to be spoken to there, anon or in person, your call. Talking back and forth like that would, I think, help me formulate my thoughts. But hey, I'd be cool with emails too. I'd prefer no PMs.
