It is generally not a good idea to let a decade pass before your next visit to the dentist. So I went to the dentist today because my brother couldn't make it to his appointment. I answered some questionnaires, among them "When was your last visit to the dentist?" Yeah, I got a raised eyebrow and a disapproving look out of that one. I also got another raised eyebrow for my answer to "When was your last physical exam?" After an hour of probing and mining (with a lovely piece of tartar for a souvenir) and being violated, I learned that I had lots of tartar, gum disease, and one small cavity. And there may not be enough room in my mouth for my wisdom teeth (a problem evolution needs to take care of, pronto). Now I have four lovely visits to look forward to in the very near future to get rid of the tartar. Sweet baby Jesus, help me (starting tomorrow at 11:00 am)!
On the flip side, I started working on my scrapbook, which I've put off for about two years now.
