My initial reaction to
this was something along the lines of: "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" HORNBY. FOLDS. HOLY CRAP.
I haven't watched the Emmys yet, or read any in-depth results, but I gather that 'Mad Men' and '30 Rock' took top honors. As it fucking well should be. Far and away the two best shows on television.
Speaking of television: Premiere Week! How lame is it that this is, like, my favorite time of the year? Most of my shows are starting up again this week (according to
Pajiba there are 41 shows altogether that are premiering). There aren't many newcomers that I'm interested in catching (thanks, writer's strike), which I'm sure my DVR will be glad to hear. The poor thing's gonna be exhausted for the next 9 months or so.
In "Um, ok..." news, I received this voicemail from my dad today:
"Hey Amy, it's your dad. I just wanted to let you know that I saw that new Pacino/DeNiro movie today, and while it's not good, necessarily, seeing the two of them together is worth the ticket price. Just thought I would tell you. Bye."
Aww, he's so weird.
