Belated Yule greetings to all!

Every time I think to myself that I need to update or say something, I just don't make the time to do it.  So, this is going to be all encompassing and hopefully brief! lol

First to update my reading list:
25. Born to be Wild Christine Warren.  Interesting story, quick easy read. Story about shapeshifters and the people who want to rid the earth of them.  It was OK...2.
26, 27, 28. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Played with Fire, Kicked Hornets Nest Steig Larsson. Friendship between a journalist and a high-class anti-social hacker.  The first two books were pretty good, the third drug on quite a bit with all the politics and whatnot but was also worth the read.  4's across the board.
I also re-read the Dark Tower series by Stephen King.  All 7 books back to back with no other books in between them.  I'm not including them in my reading list because I'd previously read all of them before, but I must say, it's a MUCH more epic story when there isn't YEARS between books. :-)

So, my list is short 2 books for my resolution to read 30 this year...but I've got a couple days left. And.....I GOT A NOOK!!!!!!! So that should make it much easier to get my hands on things I want to read instead of having to drive to the bookstore!  Well, as soon as I figure it out anyway, it's charging as I type. *squee*

Secondly, family:

Kids are doing great!  I took them to Montana as a suprise visit to my sister this past weekend, and they are currently with Anothony over in Seattle visiting his mom, sister and brother.  Then Christmas Eve is at my aunts locally, Christmas day at my moms.  WooHoo, entirely too much family time. LOL

Oh, and Tyke is now offically a "big boy" (at 7 1/2) because he has slept all night in his own bed for 3 weeks now and gave up his night lights.  We're all very proud of him.

My 4-legged kids are not as well. Doja is great, she is flat out LOVING the snow, can't hardly get her into the house. But, Gunner got clipped by a car on the 14th.  Road rash on his right rear leg and a nasty cut on his hip, but he was walking and allowed me to clean him up (mostly, the cut was too sensitive).  Took him to the vet and he now has 10 surgical staples in his side, but other than that he's doing great.  The staples come out next Tuesday and I can't wait for that because the poor baby is freezing when he goes outside with a shaved side and metal sticking out of it, and I can't put on his coat for fear of it snagging!  :-(

And finally, work:
Work is CRAZY right now.  We've completely revamped jobs and I have MUCH less free time at work, which is a double-edged knife. On the one hand, I'm really liking actually having stuff to do and having a feeling of acomplishment instead of wasting time. But on the other hand, I get more irratable and wish I had just a tad more free time. Oh well, it's definately for the better (and I'm not just saying that because I have a co-worker on my friends list).

OK...I think covers most things. I'm sure I'll think of more later, but I said I'd be brief.  Oops.  I hope you all had a wonderful Yule and/or Hanukkah, and/or have a wonderful Christmas!
